A Musical Discovery That Changed My Perspective on Creativity and AI
Hey,
This morning started like any other workday. I needed focus, so I did what I always do—put on some music with lyrics I don't understand. Italian love songs, to be precise. There's something magical about letting the melody carry you while your mind stays sharp for work.
But then something unexpected happened.
When Your Brain Plays Detective 🕵️
As the first song played, I found myself... singing along? Wait, what? I specifically chose Italian music to avoid lyrical distractions, yet here I was, humming a familiar tune.
The song was "L'italiano" by Toto Cutugno. But the melody echoing in my head? "Nasha Ye Pyar Ka Nasha Hai" from the Hindi film Mann, composed by Sanjeev Darshan.
Plot twist: The Hindi song is actually inspired by (okay, let's be honest—copied from) the Italian original.

The Universal Truth About Creation 💡
This little musical revelation got me thinking about something much bigger—the ongoing debate about AI and data usage. Everyone's up in arms about AI "stealing" content for training, but here's the thing:
Everything is inspired by something else.
Think about it:
The greatest artists drew inspiration from nature, experiences, other art
Writers build on stories they've heard, lives they've observed
Musicians blend melodies that have touched their souls
The only truly "original" thing in this world is nature itself. Everything else? It's inspiration, transformation, reimagination.
The Conscious vs. Subconscious Dance 🧠
Sometimes we knowingly draw inspiration ("loosely based on," "inspired by"). Sometimes it happens subconsciously—melodies, phrases, ideas that have lived in our minds for years suddenly resurface in our own work.
I just published my 4th book, "Why You Do This to Me"—a collection of unsent messages, thoughts, and letters. Not all stories are originally mine. Some just... appeared. They'd been living somewhere in my subconscious, waiting for the right moment to emerge.

Isn't that exactly what AI does? It processes vast amounts of data (just like our brains do) and creates something new from those patterns and connections.
The Real Difference ⚡
The only difference between human and AI inspiration?
AI's training data can be detected and traced
Our mental "training data" is invisible, unmanaged, often forgotten
We can't run plagiarism checks on our subconscious minds, can we?
My Take: Embrace the Tool 🛠️
Instead of fighting AI, why not use it as what it truly is—a powerful tool for bringing our imagination to life?
Let AI help visualize your thoughts
Use it to shape your subconscious ideas
Combine AI's capabilities with your unique perspective
Don't just copy—create
Remember that beautiful quote: "I'm a writer—anything you say or do may be used in my story." Artists have always been collectors of human experience. Now we just have a new tool to help us process and present those collections.

Keep Creating 🌟
Keep learning. Get inspired. Keep inspiring others. Keep creating.
Because at the end of the day, inspiration is just data transformed by the magic of human (or artificial) consciousness.
What's your take on this? Hit reply—I'd love to hear your thoughts on creativity, inspiration, and our AI-powered future.
Until next time,

P.S. I'm still listening to Italian music. Now I'm curious about what other "original" songs might surprise me with their hidden connections!
